The brand's origins trace back to the 1960s with founder Sandro Zara, drawing inspiration from rural Venetian inhabitants, the tradition of ancient lagoon mills, and historical archives of local wool mills. Season after season, Barena has established itself and expanded its stylistic offering with women's collections, creatively directed by Francesca Zara, Sandro's daughter.
